Join the Marathon or Half Marathon team for PAWS Chicago!
Every dollar you raise goes directly to the animals.

Put your best paw forward and compete for PAWS Chicago in the Rock ‘n’ Roll Chicago Half Marathon on August 1, the Chicago Triathlon on August 29 or the Bank of America Chicago Marathon on October 10. Leading the way to a No Kill Chicago – a city where no animals are destroyed simply because they are homeless – PAWS Chicago opened the Midwest’s only cageless, state-of-the-art, No Kill shelter in September of 2007

In 2009, TEAM PAWS Chicago raised more than $370,000 for PAWS Chicago’s cageless No Kill Adoption & Humane Center and for the Lurie Spay/Neuter Clinic. With a committed team behind PAWS Chicago, we were able to find homes for 3,463 homeless pets and perform more than 16,000 free and low-cost spay/neuter surgeries last year.

In 2010 we are hoping to raise $500,000 so that we can save even more lives – please join us! As a team member you will enjoy a new social network of animal-loving athletes, accomplish a personal milestone and save many lives in the process.

Athlete benefits:

Free training program with CARA (Chicago Area Runners Association) for our runners and Chicago Endurance Sports for our triathletes

We ask that each team member commit to raising a minimum of $600 for PAWS Chicago.  We will give you your own personalized online fundraising Web page, and you will have ongoing support from PAWS Chicago.  Most team members find that it is not difficult to meet, and even exceed this goal!
