Run to save homeless pets
Beck, an eight-month-old Spaniel mix was badly injured after his owner tossed him out of a secondstory window. Confused, alone and in need of medical attention, Beck was taken in, immediately treated and is now recovering at the PAWS Chicago Adoption & Humane Center. With a comfortable bed and toys to play with, his broken spirit is starting to heal too.
Wyatt, a three-month-old kitten likely wondered what he had done wrong to land himself at the bottom of a dumpster in the parking lot of a local bank. Mewing until his voice was hoarse, Wyatt’s cries were heard by a volunteer heading to her car after a long day. Pulling him from the dumpster, she noticed the kitten was covered in tar, and starving. She brought Wyatt to PAWS Chicago for medical treatment. After recovering in a foster home, Wyatt was ready for adoption.
